Jane Sharman

Governance Mentoring Programme Lead - Central Lakes

Jane grew up in South Otago and spent most of her childhood holidays in Wānaka, before moving North and then overseas. So coming back to live in Wānaka 6 years ago with her husband and two young boys was a bit like coming home.

Jane joined the Volunteer South team in 2022 and delivers the Governance Mentoring Programme in Central Otago. She loves the magic of this area and the opportunities to get out and enjoy the lake and mountains. She is passionate about the community and always keen to get involved with local projects and events. Having volunteered in various roles, including as a board member, Jane appreciates the value the Governance Mentoring Programme will bring to participants and the potential to develop our community leaders to support sustainable and effective community organisations.
