Volunteering Under Alert Level 4

Volunteering and Organisation Information

We're in Alert Level 4 again and we know that this is a stressful time for everyone. Be kind, be safe and follow all official guidelines from the government is key!

If you're volunteering - the image tells you what you need to know for the next few days. If you are an essential service volunteer, you will be contacted by your organisation. Get in touch with them first if you are unsure. There may be additional requirements in the next few days as we learn more about how the Delta variant is different, so be aware that even if you volunteered last time under alert level 4, you may not be able to do so this time.

If you want to get involved in volunteering and helping out during Alert Level 4 - there are safe ways to do so. In a pandemic, we need to minimise contact, so if you haven't volunteered before - reach out to us at Volunteer South. We can help you with information. Our offices may be closed but our people are still working to support you and the community.

Our centres and hubs will not be open for face to face appointments under Alert Level 4 or 3. Zoom and phone options will be available for those who would like us to get in touch. You are welcome to apply for regular volunteer roles during this time, however there may be some delay in response from some organisations as they deal with the current Alert Level.
