To ensure YLO meets all application deadlines and accountability reporting deadlines.
To creatively expand YLO’s income from other sources
To manage the “Friends of YLO” scheme and to grow it to meet budgeted income.
The Funding Administrator is responsible for the timely filing of funding applications and accountability reports to Government Agencies and Charitable Trusts. The role also ensures that the paperwork and administration of grant applications is up to date and filed in a timely and orderly manner. Also, knowledge of available funding schemes that are available and appropriate for YLO’s varied and changing activities would be expected. As well as managing the “Friends of YLO” donation scheme, seeking alternative and creative sources of fundraising and donations from other sources is desirable, eg, community groups, business community and individuals.

General Office Duties
Experience working with people from a wide range of organisations.
Experience in community/social work.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and basic computer navigation.
Proficiency in internet use and navigation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Ability to work unsupervised and to seek guidance when required.
An ability to work as part of a team and relate well to a wide variety of people.
A mature, service-oriented attitude.
Self-motivated with lots of initiative.
An enjoyment in working with volunteers and supporting them in their volunteering experience at Youthline Otago.
4 hours per week. May require some ad hoc additional work but this is not mandatory.
