The role of the School Patrol Monitor is to supervise students collecting and setting up school patrol equipment, providing guidance and oversight when operating the school patrol, monitoring students when putting patrol gear away and reporting any road safety or other concerns to the school, police or DCC where relevant.
Staff will also be required to help at Pick up Drop off zones as well as other classroom and after school duties.
An ability to communicate and empathise with children
A willingness to provide clear instructions to help guide children in the task of operating a school patrol
Ability to see and assess traffic conditions in order to provide the oversight needed to operate a school patrol safely.
Good physical mobility
A full safety induction will be given to volunteers by Police (School Community Officer)
A Police background check is required for this role.
School days between 8.30-9am and 3-3.20pm
