Marketing Coordinator

The Central Otago Arts Trust have built an arts community that showcases and profiles the amazing work of our Central Otago artists. You’ll find painters, sculptors, ceramic artists and photographers, fashion designers, woodcarvers and furniture makers, metal workers and jewellers. We also promote performance artists music and dance groups, film and theatre, along with the literary arts.

We aim to inform, involve, educate and support all those in the region who practice and participate in the arts and all those who support and are interested in the arts. We promote Central Otago as an arts destination.

We are looking for a volunteer to assist with a range or marketing roles which could include:

  • Updating social media and website
  • Graphic design and content management of promotional material
  • Assisting with advertising
  • Assisting with updating promotional material related to key functions such as the Arts Gold Awards and the Central Otago Arts Trail
  • Undertaking mailbox drops of promotional material.

Some of these tasks will require assistance on an ongoing basis while others are for one-off events.  We also periodically require assistance in undertaking mailbox drops in Alexandra, Clyde and Cromwell.  If you have skills you wish to share and some energy and enthusiasm we would love to hear from you.

Most of the roles would need to be located with the co-ordinator in Alexandra however some roles could be undertaken in Cromwell or the wider Central Otago district.

Volunteers work alongside the coordinator to deliver current arts strategy objectives.  They will learn about and assist in celebrating the variety of arts available in the district and will have the opportunity to contribute their own style to material.

Requirements

An interest or passion in the arts. 

We are looking for volunteers with skills to bring to the marketing role or a willingness and ability to learn quickly! An outgoing, friendly personality with the ability to show initiative and computer literacy is desirable.

Time commitment

Ideally a volunteers will be available to undertake work for around half a day a week. However if this would not work for you, or you are interested in only 1 or 2 of the tasks please do get in touch!
