Volunteer Opportunities Involving Horses

this involves: feeding, mucking paddock/ paddock maintenance and brushing horses etc. This shift will be about 1 hour long (or more hours if people wish), and people committing to at least once a week on a regular basis.

We would also be grateful for people who to wish to help with fundraising/ promoting the organisation. Also open to other possibilities of people wanting support us and our cause- Get in touch and have a chat to us.

Ideally some horse/ herd experience- however we are happy to teach people also. This is a fairly physical role (mucking the paddock with wheelbarrow, feeding hay etc) so a level of fitness is necessary and no severe physical pain.
The work is outside- so please dress for the weather. Ideally gum-boots or outdoor shoes.
We will do an induction and provide on-going support for volunteers.
As Vanora is a therapeutic space we will require volunteers to do Police vetting and sign our volunteer contract. Interviews will also be conducted.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

We would like people to do shifts between 9 to 10:30 am during the week
