We are looking for a superstar that could dedicate 2/3 days to Shakti Youth to do Admin and Youth Advocacy based in Dunedin

Some of the tasks include:

  1. Administration Work:

    • Basic Administration – (emailing, managing filing, organizing meetings, updating social media)
    • Report Writing (Monthly reports and project report)
  2. Youth Advocacy Work:

    • Speaking in schools and public events
    • Facilitating meetings, workshops and focus groups
    • Assisting youth leadership training
    • Attending meetings in high schools

You will be working closely with the Shakti Dunedin Coordinator along with the National Shakti Youth Unit team on an upcoming and exciting project.


Some of the required skills you will have include/ or will be an advantage in this role:

  • A university degree/ studying in social work, gender studies, human rights or anything similar
  • A restricted drivers license (or working towards getting one, a car will also be great)
  • Passion for youth empowerment and migrant communities
  • Rainbow friendly
  • Public speaking
  • Feminist value
