Central Cinema is a community cinema based in the ODT Theatre at Central Stories in the heart of Alexandra.  The cinema screens current mainstream and art house movies, runs occasional film festivals and can source films requested by the community.  Central Cinema uses state of the art digital projection with excellent surround sound in a comfortable, warm and cosy environment.

Films are shown at least 5 times weekly with special screenings and other events on a regular basis.

Central Cinema is run entirely by volunteers and is fully self-funded.  We are passionate about what we do and believe that bringing movies to people in Central Otago is a very valuable social service.

The cinema are looking for a volunteer to promote the film schedule to ensure tickets are sold and people are enjoying seeing films they love.
The work involves lots of bits and pieces: creating spreadsheets, checking templates and website and communicating with numerous people.
