Central Otago Rural Education Activities Programme (CO REAP)
Central Otago REAP provides a diverse and extensive educational resource to rural communities, implementing a life long learning approach. The overall purpose of Central Otago REAP is to provide educational support and assistance across all sectors including early childhood, primary, secondary and adult education. Central Otago REAP is a community-based flexible resource providing formal and non-formal learning opportunities.
Central Otago REAP are on the search for a volunteer film maker. They have their own recording and lighting equipment but limited experience in producing a good quality instructional films. Over lockdown they have been experimenting with aspects such as light, sound, background so they have developed some skills around making a video. They have discovered that editing the video requires highly developed skills, which they do not have among their team.
They need a volunteer who has the ability to edit video footage to produce a short concise clip. For example reducing a twenty minute footage down to 8 minutes.
The role provides the opportunity for the volunteer to become part of a very positive and committed Team at REAP. We hope volunteers will have satisfaction of watching others grow to fulfill their potential.
CO REAP are based in Alexandra but they are very happy for the volunteer to work remotely if required. Ideally we are looking for volunteers who have the following:
