Social engagement and meaningful activity are essential to a healthy, happy life, no matter what your age. Club Enliven is for people over 65 years and offers a range of social activities including discussions, presentations from guest speakers, singing and music, craft, outings, cooking and meals. Many of our members are no longer able to drive and rely on volunteer drivers to assist them in getting to and from Club Enliven.

We are looking for volunteers to drive up to three older people from their homes to Maybank in the morning OR collecting them from Maybank and taking them home at the end of the day.

We hope volunteers will enjoy enabling older people to live an active and social life. They will have the opportunity to engage with older people and develop new friendships.

Requirements

Volunteers are required to have access to a car with full clean drivers licence, WOF and insurance. Additionally volunteers should be friendly and reliable, have a caring and respectful attitude, be happy to chat to older people and be fully respectful of confidentiality.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Volunteers are needed between 9-10am and 3-4pm on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. People can volunteer for one or more shifts as they wish.
