Volunteer Fixer

Wastebusters is a community enterprise leading the way to zero waste. They reduce, reuse and recycle to champion behaviour change. Their place is a hub which connects people, things and ideas.

Wastebusters are running a series of repair events as part of their Repair Revolution and they’re looking for fixers and volunteers of all kinds.
Your repair skills in fixing household items such as computers, electronics, small appliances, furniture, clothes, jewellery, books, bikes, instruments, skis and more, are all welcome.

They also welcome professional repairers as volunteers. Throughout the events Wastebusters will collate information to help our community find repairers and to build a local culture of repair.

Volunteers will gain satisfaction from helping others in the community and the environment from unnecessarily throwing away objects that can be saved.

They welcome volunteers who:

  • Enjoy repairing things
  • Willing to share your know-how
  • Practical
  • Friendly
  • Approachable
