Show Setup Volunteer

Lake County A&P Society Inc

The Lake Hayes Show is not big by other New Zealand standards, but it is a fun day out for the family, exhibitors and competitors. We are restricted to a certain extent by the area of the Show Grounds and the terrain but we do have one of the best outlooks of any other Show Ground in the country.

They are looking for helpers from 1pm the day before the show to help us set up the show grounds.
Training will be provided and no special skills are needed. A light lunch is provided from 12 noon and a chance to meet the team.

Positions include:

  • Assisting the Pavilion with table set up for the Home Industries competitions
  • Helping with parking management for drop offs for Pavilion entries
  • Setting up the fence lines for the public parking on the Reserve
  • Putting up signage

Volunteers must be physically fit (you don't have to be super fit but the work is physical).
Handy with the tools would be useful for signage and parking fence lines.

Time commitment

They need to cover from 1 pm until 5pm so a couple of hours would be great, the whole afternoon would be amazing (light lunch included plus fun with a great team)
