Otago Museum







The Otago Museum offers a variety of programmes and events for our visitors between 8 and 24 July.
Visitor Interaction Volunteers support the work of the Visitor Experience and Science Engagement teams.

They will create craft resources, help deliver activities, set up and pack down equipment and help staff direct and assist visitors during a range of activities.


Volunteers must be friendly, patient and smartly presented.
They must be able to assist visitors in following with craft activities according to the activity instructions.

Otago Museum will provide support to any members of staff who are required to isolate and do not have external networks able to provide assistance.

Time commitment

These activities will run between 8 and 24 July and there will be some set up activity between 1 June to 8 July.

Volunteers can choose short shifts with a tea break or longer shifts with lunch and tea breaks.
Use of staff facilities and lunch room with tea and coffee provided.
Volunteers can choose the dates and times that will suit them.
