M!NT/Kahu Youth Drop-in session support person

The role is to engage with, support and encourage those wanting to hang out at the Kahu Youth Crib with intellectual disabilities. The aim is for these youth to be able to attend independently without parent's or caregivers. We are especially looking for high school-students keen to become a part of our awesome M!NT Crew.

In return for your time you'll we hope you will enjoy spending time with a fabulous group of young people, develop new friendships, gain experience and confidence in supporting young people with intellectual disabilities and be happy knowing you are enabling young people to take part in new activities.

Requirements

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers who have: Experience working with youth , A passion for helping others and A willingness to get stuck in and have fun.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

3 hours, once a month on a Friday or Saturday evening (4pm-7pm)
