School Engagement Coordinator - Daffodil Day Invercargill

If you have a background in education or school administration we’d love you to consider joining our team as a volunteer school engagement coordinator.

Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society’s flagship annual fundraising event, you will build relationships with local schools to encourage their engagement in fundraising activities.
You will make contact with early learning centres and schools to encourage their involvement, and deliver kits containing the resources they need. You will be available for additional support and will collect donations on our behalf.

We anticipate this being a commitment of two hours a week from April through to Daffodil Day (27th August).


Ideally, you will have a background in education or school administration. You will be able to work comfortably with people of all social, religious, and cultural backgrounds and you will understand and respect the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. You will have a pleasant friendly manner, with good verbal and written communication skills, Computer competency will be required.

We hope volunteers will enjoy connecting with the local schools and helping raise awareness and funds for The Cancer Society.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Approx. 2 hours per week form April through to Daffodil Day (Friday 27th August)
