The Home Help service is looking for volunteers to connect with families in the community.
You will liase with the coordinator Emilee who will connect you with families in the community requiring support.
You will meet the families and then arrange to visit each week to assist them with a number of different household tasks. This can include, but is not limited to: Accompanying families to appointments, vacuuming, hanging/folding washing, and advice around household management, and routines. Every family is different, therefore the tasks can vary depending on what support is needed or wanted by each individual family. Many families appreciate the adult company and support to take the pressure off their busy lives / households.
This is a great way to give back to the community and make a real difference for families.
We are looking to service: Waikouaiti, Karitane, Blueskin Bay and Warrington areas.

We are seeking people who are:
All volunteers must attend a training session and complete police vetting.
You must have reliable transport as there may be some small travel involved.
1-1.5 hours a week for a period of 6 weeks.
On occasion, families may require additional visits past 6 weeks so we would appreciate some flexibility with this.
Most families ask for weekday support so please consider this when applying.
