The Dunedin Volunteer Awards Ceremony is held at 9:30AM on Saturday, 11th September at the Edgar Centre. We will be celebrating the mahi and the spirit of volunteers, with local organisations and other volunteers. To ensure the event runs smoothly, we are looking for people who can help with:

  • Setting up the venue
  • Cleaning up tables during and after the ceremony
  • Monitoring drinks and food
  • Making sure guests are safe and comfortable


  • Reliable and be able to show up on time
  • Be able to handle physical tasks (standing, walking around, moving tables and chairs, etc.)
  • Friendly, and like helping others and be able to keep an eye on what others need
  • Event experience is a plus, but not required
  • Love volunteering and wants to celebrate!

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

We will start setting up the venue in advance of the opening at 9:30AM. The event will go until 12PM and we will clean up afterwards.
