Work with the Finance Officer to:

  • prepare monthly financial statements and present them to monthly Board meetings;
  • ensure that a schedule of accounts payable is presented to the Board and authorised for payment on time, and in line with Tennis Otago’s policies;
  • ensure that end-of-year financial statements are prepared in in a timely manner for audit and presentation at the AGM.

Requirements

Basic accounts skills / Bookkeeping skills and knowledge / Computer skills / experience with Xero or similar accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Money works etc.,). Note: Xero is the accounting system in place.

Training and handover from interim Treasurer and Finance Officer will be provided

Volunteers will need references from previous employers or organisations they have previously assisted. Reimbursement for out of pocket expenses can be negotiated.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Board meetings are held monthly.
