Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow

Warbirds Over Wanaka is a 3 day International Airshow. A biennial event over the long Easter weekend, around 50,000 people make the pilgrimage to Wanaka for their weekend of excitement.

Now acclaimed as the largest Warbird Airshow in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the world's top four Warbird airshows, the event will be celebrating 34 years of operating Airshows in 2022.

Volunteers are the eyes and ears around the Airshow and the organisers are very grateful to everyone who will help them to deliver the 2022 Airshow. Being a part of the Warbirds Over Wanaka volunteer team is both rewarding and motivating. They require at least 250 volunteers to help them run the Airshow and have many varying roles, depending on your interests and skills.

You can:

  • See the Airshow
  • Learn new skills
  • Meet new people
  • Give back to the community
  • Have fun!

They will consider all enthusiastic and reliable applicants!

They ask that you are available for the majority of the event days (Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April 2022). They will roster you so that you will have many breaks and opportunities to enjoy the Airshow also.
