WellSouth is the Primary Health Network for the Southern locality, responsible for the delivery of primary health care and supporting general practice teams in Otago and Southland. Their aim is to support people to look after themselves, promote healthy environments and help provide care, and support access to care, where and when it’s needed.
They are responsible for the clinical care of COVID positive patients in the Southern Region and as part of this care are required to distribute pulse oximeters to patients at home who need them to monitor oxygen levels in their blood.
Reliable, friendly and organised volunteers are required for this role in Invercargill. Volunteers should have a drivers license and be happy using their own car.
We hope volunteers will gain satisfaction from supporting their community during the pandemic and gaining an insight into the work of Well South.
Shifts are expected to take 2 - 3 hours at a time and you can sign up to help for one or more shift a week. Ideally volunteers can commit to the role for a minimum of 2 months although the role may extend - depending on COVID rates.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
