Science Festival Volunteer Crew

New Zealand International Science Festival

We are looking for a team of enthusiastic and engaged volunteers to help us run the Festival smoothly.

This year the Science Festival is hosting a small NanoFest, consisting of about 20 events from 14-17 July in Dunedin. There will also be a few pop up events on the weekend of 9 & 10 July.

We have a range of opportunities available from hands-on event facilitation roles to ticket-taking and general event support. The NZ SciFest team will try to match volunteers with a role that aligns to their interests, but please note that we have limited roles available.

Be interested in the world around you and excited to be part of a fun & busy team during the Festival! No science background needed.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Some roles will require volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

*Volunteer t-shirts will be provided upon confirmation of volunteering roles. These must be returned upon completion of volunteering.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

We request that volunteers take on a minimum of 2 shifts during NanoFest, a time commitment of 4-8 hours in total.
