Cancer Society understands how a diagnosis can affect every aspect of a person's life, and how it can also affect their family/whanau and friends around them. Their commitment is to help people get through.
Daffodil House provides accommodation to people travelling to Dunedin for cancer treatment. They have a small but much enjoyed garden with a small lawn and flower beds. If the garden gets a monthly tidy up it helps to keep it looking lovely for the residents throughout the year. Each year Cancer Society sets up a monthly roster of approximately 4 people who can come in from time to time to keep Daffodil House's garden looking tidy. With spring upon us, Cancer Society would love to build a small team of volunteers to help with this task. The work usually involves 1 to 2 hours of light gardening duties around a small lawn.
