I have been a champion of volunteers for 15 years in the charitable and voluntary sector, working as a volunteer manager or coordinator for large organisations like New Zealand Red Cross to small grassroots community events like the Dunedin Diwali Festival. I am currently working as the Regional Coordinator for Enviroschools in Otago, employed by Otago Regional Council, and continue to be involved in volunteer management and charitable governance across Otago. I have held official trustee roles with a number of charities including Pregnancy Help New Zealand, Life Education Trust Coastal Otago, Dunedin Midwinter Carnival and Dunedin Korean Society.
As a previous manager of Volunteer South, I have been enthusiastic about championing the voluntary sector and the role that volunteer centres play in our communities. I am passionate about building resilient and sustainable organisations and hope that my knowledge and experience can support Volunteer South to continue with its incredible work in our Southern region.
