The Plunket Society is a non-profit national organisation whose people are passionately committed to the well-being of children and their families. Plunket support families to ensure children reach their full potential in the first 5 years of life. Services available include parenting advice and support, child health promotion and health education.

Wakatipu Plunket are looking for new volunteers to join their Arrowtown team and Queenstown team to support their existing Ministry of Education Playgroup.

  • Arrowtown Group on Monday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Arrowtown Plunket Rooms.
  • Queenstown Group on Friday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Queenstown Plunket Rooms.

As a Playgroup Facilitator you will:

  • Tap into your creative side and plan activities for the Playgroup aimed at children 4 years & under.
  • Welcome new families to Playgroup.
  • Help maintain a safe, enjoyable environment in this sole directed role.

This role could be shared by several people working together or alternating weeks.

Requirements

  • Friendly & approachable.
  • Experience with children is preferred but not necessary.
  • Full training and support will be given.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Arrowtown: Monday's 10am - 1pm, during school terms only

Queenstown: Friday's 10am - 1pm, during school terms only
