Fundraising Champion

Puna Rangatahi Alexandra & Districts Youth Trust support young people aged aged 10-24 and their whanau in the Vincent Ward, Teviot Valley and the Maniototo to access resources, information, opportunities and guidance. They offer in-school wellbeing groups, one-to-one mentoring, rainbow support, school holidays events, community events and much more!

They are on the look out for an experienced and motivated Fundraising Champion - someone to help the team secure auction and raffle prizes for two key fundraising events in July.

The Fundraising Champion role involves:

  • Sourcing auction items for our major fundraising event on 18 July
  • Securing raffle prizes for four quiz nights happening throughout July
  • Being confident reaching out to businesses, building relationships, and helping bring these events to life.

Your mahi will directly support their work with rangatahi in Alexandra, Roxburgh and the Maniototo helping them deliver impactful, well-resourced programmes that empower young people to thrive.

Requirements

  • Experience in fundraising, sponsorship, or event support
  • Confident communicator, comfortable approaching businesses and community members
  • Well-organised and reliable, able to meet timeframes
  • Good understanding of the local Alexandra community (or willingness to build connections)
  • Available to support fundraising efforts in the lead-up to and during July 2025

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

  • Between 1 -3 hours per week until July
  • Flexible and can be done around other commitments, but some daytime availability would be helpful for making calls or visits.
