The Truck Driver Assistant role involves assisting the truck driver with weekday collections and deliveries, including loading and unloading donated items. This role helps support Habitat’s community work and fundraising efforts.

Volunteers gain teamwork experience, practical skills, meet new people, and enjoy giving back to the community while supporting a meaningful cause.

Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physically fit and comfortable with lifting
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Full driver licence not required

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

  • Flexible shifts available - Weekdays (Monday to Friday) 9:00am to 5:00 pm
  • Hours can be discussed to suit availability
