Activities Team Assistant

Volunteers will assist in delivering a variety of engaging activities that enhance the well-being and happiness of the residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others while working alongside a supportive and dedicated team.

What the role involves:

• Assist with daily activities such as newspaper reading, chair aerobics, and housie (bingo).
• Help with entertainment activities, including van outings, crafts, and sports games.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents, providing companionship and support.
• Provide a friendly and supportive environment, ensuring residents are included, feel comfortable and valued.

Requirements

Ideal Volunteer:

• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• No previous experience required, just a willingness to engage and contribute.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Clutha Views understands that everyone has different schedules, and any time volunteers can give to help create a better day for the residents is appreciated. Whether a volunteer can offer a few hours a week or a couple of days a month, their support will make a significant difference.
