Sewing Machine Tester & Quality Checker

At the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Gengarry, Invercargill, they support local families into safe, affordable housing by selling donated goods to raise funds for building homes in our community.

As a volunteer Sewing Machine Tester, you will check, test, and prepare donated sewing machines to ensure they are in working order and ready for reuse in-store.

Your work helps keep the store running smoothly and directly contributes to fundraising that builds homes for those in need. In return, volunteers gain hands-on practical experience, build confidence working with equipment, learn useful problem-solving skills, and become part of a supportive, community-focused team where every role makes a real difference.
