Dunedin Midwinter Carnival Trustee

The Dunedin Midwinter Carnival is one of Dunedin’s most magical community events, bringing thousands of people together through lantern art, creativity, performance, and celebration.

They are looking for passionate people to join their Board as a Trustee (General Board Member). This is an opportunity to contribute your skills, ideas, and experience to help guide the future direction of the Carnival.

As a Trustee, you will work alongside other Board members to support good governance, strategic planning, and the ongoing development of the organisation. You may also contribute to practical projects and activities throughout the year, depending on your skills and interests.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the Dunedin community, support local artists and volunteers, and gain valuable governance experience.

Time commitment

  • This is a voluntary Board role.
  • The time commitment varies throughout the year, with more involvement required in the lead-up to the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival. Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings, contribute to planning and decision-making, and support key activities when needed.
  • The estimated commitment is approximately a few hours each month, with additional time required around major event planning periods.
