Alexandra Musical Society Inc is based in Alexandra, Central Otago, and have been bringing shows to the local stage since 1957. 2022 marked 65 years of bringing quality theatre to their local audiences, and they are still here. Alexandra Musical Society encourages participation in all aspects of the performing arts, musicals for adults and children, dramatic productions, soirees, theatre restaurants, and their popular Stars in Their Eyes show. It takes a whole community to bring local theatre to life and we want YOU! From backstage magic and front of house welcomes to lighting, costumes, set building, orchestra, crew, and performers on stage, there’s a place for everyone. Whether you’re highly experienced or giving it a go for the very first time, they'd love to have you involved. Come make friends, learn new skills, have fun, and help create something unforgettable for your community.
