'Sustainable Living' Action Team member

South Alive is a community led organisation which is focused on the revitilisation of South Invercargill. Their mission statement is: Powered by our strengths as a community, we will continue to make South Invercargill a place we are proud of and that inspires us.

The Sustainable Living Volunteer Action team projects include:

  • education around waste and recycling
  • overseeing our Zero Rubbish initiative where residents can adopt their street and keep it clean of rubbish
  • workshops on sustainability topics

If you have time and enthusiasm to support your community and sustainability initiatives then please get in touch.

Requirements

  • The Sustainable Living Team is looking for someone with an interest in sustainability issues/topics, and the South Invercargill area.
  • You must be reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.

Time commitment

  • Monthly team meetings on Tuesday mornings.
  • Events as required - a few hours each month
