Signature Collector – Buller Declaration

Patient Voice Aotearoa is seeking volunteers to collect signatures for the Buller Declaration on the State of the New Zealand Health System. Each Declaration is three metres long and will be displayed at locations across Gore, Clutha, Central Otago, and Waimate.

Volunteers will:

  • Collect signatures from community members at high foot traffic locations
  • Distribute or return copies of the Declaration
  • Promote awareness of the petition and encourage people to sign
  • This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a historic nationwide petition that highlights the state of Aotearoa New Zealand’s health system and calls for urgent action.

Requirements

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Comfortable speaking with people in public settings
  • Able to transport and manage large documents (3 metres in length)
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Commitment to completing the role by the end of September

Time commitment

Flexible; volunteers can choose to help on weekdays or weekend evenings during September. Each copy may take a few hours to collect signatures, depending on the location.
