Annabel arrived in New Zealand in October 1998 from England ‘for a bit of an adventure’ with her husband and two daughters. The beautiful Otago Peninsula has been home since then. Having now retired from an administrative role at the University of Otago, Annabel wanted to find a way to utilise her skills and experience in the voluntary sector. The timing was good – the perfect role came up on the VS website and Annabel is now the minute-taker for the monthly VS Board meetings.
Annabel enjoys all that the Peninsula offers with its beaches, walks and wildlife, and biking on Te Awa Ōtākou – the shared harbour pathway – but is equally happy to be curled up on the sofa on a cold day with a cup of tea and a good book.
