Seeking Volunteers?

Volunteer South works hard to promote opportunities to a wide audience of potential volunteers and provides a connections programme whereby we assist organisations that require volunteers and match the roles with people who are looking for volunteer opportunities.

We raise awareness of volunteer opportunities through a range of media including:

• Promotion on our website for volunteers to sign up directly with you.
• Promotion on our Facebook pages including our connections and volunteers pages.
• Promotion of roles in our volunteer newsletters.
• In partnership with local apps like My Little Local, Central App, Wanaka App and Queenstown App.
• In local print and digital media.
• On local radio.
• At our celebration events.
• Though events such as National Volunteer Week and International Volunteer Day.

We can only promote opportunities of Not-For-Profit volunteer involving organisations or community groups that have membership with us. There is currently no cost to membership with Volunteer South. It’s easy to sign up to be a member with us but if you need any help, simply email the area that you are a part of and we can help you out. If unsure, contact hello@volunteersouth.org.nz

To be a member and list volunteer opportunities with us, you will need contact details, mission statement and details about the volunteer opportunity. The more detail you can provide, the more likely that the role will appeal to a volunteer opportunity. Our team can advise you how best to list roles to attract more volunteers.
