Operations Manager

Raised in Dunedin, but after 18 years living in Auckland, Charlotte happily resettled in Ōtepoti in 2003 with her family and enjoys every aspect this great region has to offer.

Having spent many years working during start-up phases for new restaurants including running her own in Auckland for 10 years, Charlotte was delighted to move into the Not for Profit sector as Volunteer Manager for Cancer Society Otago and Southland in 2018. During her time at Cancer Society, she enjoyed the incredible interactions with both staff and wonderful volunteers and contributing to a workplace where kindness is forefront. She is most proud of building good systems, trust and respect within teams to achieve a collaborative approach in order to extend potential with limited resources. The last 6 years spent working with an organisation that relies on the generosity of volunteer support has given her many insights into how the power of many impacts communities.

In her free time, she can be found wandering along one of our many beautiful beaches and loves nothing more than cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.

Charlotte is excited to join the Volunteer South team in supporting the many organisations and volunteers that work in our local communities.
