Tenā koutou katoa. Malō le soifua maua ma le lagi e mamā.
My name is Tagiilima Feleti. I have worked in the education sector for close to 30 years in various roles and organisations including the Ministry of Education, Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand and the Education Review Office. I work at the University of Otago, as the Manager of the Pacific Islands Centre. It is a fulfilling role where I am able to lead a diverse team of staff who provide culturally rich and appropriate academic and pastoral care and support for all Pacific students across each of our campuses.
My wife Rosalie and I live in Otepoti with our four children. Outside of my family and professional life, my community work includes my long involvement with Otago Polyfest as a volunteer and as a Trustee of Te Mana Ahua Ake Trust.
I am also a member of the Volunteer South Board. There are exciting opportunities ahead for the organisation, its staff and its board, and the many diverse communities that engage with the services offered locally and across the wider Otago region. I’m happy to be a part of this and to contribute to making a difference in our communities.
