“Friday girl!” is the cheerful greeting often heard whenever Ann Piner arrives. She responds with her usual big smile and asks how everyone is.

This happy lady is 80 years old, but the energy and vibe she brings are that of a young, cheerful person. Ann comes to Harbour View twice a week and organises the day’s activities, which are always a delight to the residents.

Happy Hour on Friday is one of the most anticipated activities in the rest home. Ann leads it so actively that the residents are fully engaged and thoroughly enjoy their time with her.

She is an inspiration to watch as she gets involved in so many activities with the residents, regardless of her age. Her presence brings joy to many, as she generously shares her time and laughter. Whether it’s pizza-making, flower arranging, bingo, or Happy Hour on Fridays, she brings a special spark to each day.
