The Trust owns the former Dunedin Prison a Category 1 listed building. As well as preserving the Victorian era building the Trust provides guided tours for the community, school groups and visitors telling the stories of its past and of the times and past guests. These tours provide both an information and educational role. While maintaining a kaitiaki role the Trust continues to actively upgrade the building and seek to find adaptive new uses for the building.
