Find Your Perfect Match - Cromwell
For Welcoming Week 2024, Volunteer South, Cromwell Community House and CODC Welcoming Communities are teaming up to help community organisations connect with locals to talk about their work and volunteer opportunities. The event will be a fun, interactive speed-dating style experience.
When: Tuesday 10th September 4:30-6:30pm (allow 30 mins before and after for set up/pack down)
Where: Cromwell Bowling Club
Attendees will visit each table for a short, timed 'date' during which the organisation representative can share information about their activities and volunteer roles and attendees can share their own interests to see if there is potential for a match. If interested, attendee leave their contact details so you can organise a ‘second date’ to connect again, or perhaps just sign up to your newsletter/facebook page.
At the end of the event, you will have more people aware of your work, and potential members/volunteers to share upcoming activities and opportunities with.
The event is free and open to all, and we will be promoting this widely in the community, and as part of Welcoming Week, to newcomers as an opportunity to connect with people and organisations with shared passions and interests, and highlighting how volunteering is a way to improve their sense of wellbeing and belonging, learn and share skills, and engage in activities they are passionate about, all while making a positive impact.
If you are unable to make it to the event, but would like to provide promotional materials (brochure/booklet) about your organisation and volunteer opportunities, we will have one display area for these. Volunteer South will also have a display to highlight the various opportunities in the region.
Light refreshments will be available.
