Volunteer Retail Assistant - Dunedin

Red Cross Retail Shops provide affordable shopping for the community, funding for their humanitarian work, and support sustainability through recycling unwanted items. 

Red Cross Shop volunteers help with a variety of different tasks in the shops and online trading. This includes:

• Processing stock
• Merchandising
• Interacting with customers
• Creating displays
• Preparing and listing products for online sales and much more.
• Light cleaning duties are also available.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills, meet amazing people, learn new things, and help your community all at the same time!

Requirements

Ideal for someone who is:

• Friendly, with good communication skills and enjoys interacting with people.
• Positive, with a can-do attitude
• Customer-focused
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Physically able to do some lifting occasionally
• Looking to develop retail skills
• Interested in design (bonus!)

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Shift options available as follows:
Monday to Friday

• 9.30am-1pm
• 1-5pm

Saturday

• 10am-3pm

• Morning and afternoon shifts available.
