CRW Foster or Support Volunteer

Organisation:

Cat Rescue Wanaka

Category:

Animal Care

Hours:

Both/Flexible

Locations:

Wānaka

Cat Rescue Wanaka is entirely volunteer run and dedicated to caring for stray and abandoned cats in the Upper Clutha with a key focus on reducing the stray cat population. Cats that are socialised or are young enough to be socialised are uplifted, vet checked, de-sexed and micro chipped and are then fostered in preparation for adoption to a permanent home.

A team of dedicated volunteers foster the cats and kittens getting them ready for their forever homes.

Requirements

First and foremost you must be a caring cat lover and have the time and commitment required to nurture a stray ready for adoption. If you are not the home owner you must have written permission from your landlord.

Time commitment

We ask that volunteers are available for a minimum of six months and be at home enough to properly take care of a cat or kitten.
