Dunedin RDA is one of 50 Riding for Disabled groups around New Zealand. They are affiliated with the New Zealand Riding for Disabled Association. Their mission is to provide confidence, independence and well-being for people with disabilities through therapeutic horse riding and horse care. The Dunedin Group RDA (DRDA) was established in 1973. They now have our own land in Fairfield, Dunedin.
As a Paddock Assistant you will be:
- Helping RDA take care of their lovely herd of horses
- Feeding horses their hay and hard feed
- Mucking out their paddocks
- Rugging and unrugging the horses
- Topping up and cleaning their water troughs
- Performing morning paddock duties (start around 9am - usually takes about an hour)
- Performing evening paddock duties (start around 5pm - usually takes about an hour)

- Orientation Training is provided

Requirements
- Previous experience being around horses
- Horse experience is helpful
- Physically fit
- Wear warm clothing appropriate for the job; covered shoes and sunhat if needed
- Training provided
- A Police check is required
A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
- Monday - Sunday, 1-1 ½ hours in the morning and/or evening
