Chai and Chat Women’s Group is an initiative of the Dunedin Multicultural Council. The DMCC are looking for a female social media support person to help them to promote, and spread the word, about their Chai and Chat Women’s Group on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You don’t necessarily have to be physically present to do the work, and you are most welcome to attend the group meetings held every Friday.

You are not required to commit to the role from the beginning and are most welcome to visit the sessions first. Once you have decided, a commitment to attend the program one Friday a month from 12:00 noon - 2:30pm is required. Training is provided and supervision is available if needed.

Main Duties Include:

  • Promoting, creating, designing and uploading invites on social media before sessions and then posting a summary of the session after the session

Don't worry, volunteers don't have to do everything! if you are not particularly interested in the above duties, there are other tasks you might like to do! The more people who can help, the easier it is for everyone, and the more resilient the Chai and Chat community becomes as they look to the future. Every little helps!
