Day Club Volunteer

Alzheimers Otago is establishing a Day Club for people with dementia to attend once a week. The Club's intention is to keep people with dementia connected socially and cognitively and will also offer a variety of opportunities for its members to connect into the community by way of supporting local organisations or welcoming special guests to contribute to the program. Your role can involve anything from pouring the tea or sharing your talents to leading a session on a topic of interest for you, the ways in which you might be able to support are limited only to our imagination.

All volunteers:

  • Should be willing to undertake a police check
  • have a heart to connect with elders in the community
  • Be ready for a good laugh or two

A Police background check is required for this role.
