PSO's three Op Shops (Shop On Carroll, Shop On St Andrew, and Shop On Carroll Online) have now merged to become one retail destination (located on 169 Princes Street - between Rattray and Dowling Streets). These changes aren’t simply about location, it’s about taking sustainability and upcycling to the next level while raising funds for PSOs Family Works, Food Bank and other community services.
As a Retail Assistant you will:
- Serve customers in a customer facing role at Shop on Carol's busy retail store
- Be the public face of Shop on Carol and serve customers from a range of cultures and backgrounds
(Renowned for its quality recycled clothing, jewellery, crockery, cutlery and haberdashery)
- Provide something special for everyone and every budget
- Need to be enthusiastic, hard-working, a great communicator and a team player
- Price goods, help with displays, stock and re-stock shelves
- Keep the shop clean and tidy
- Get ready to have fun, and enjoy the unique vibe of the Shop on Carroll team

Requirements
- Enthusiastic, creative, and love helping people find what they're looking for
- Basic addition and subtraction skills
- Enjoy assisting people from a range of cultures and backgrounds
- Be someone who loves working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same
- Have an interest in any of the following is a bonus: retail, fashion, people, crafts, sustainability, reduced waste
A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
Available to help out for a few yours each week: Monday to Saturdays between 10am and 4pm
- Various shifts available Monday - Saturday
- Volunteer from 3hrs a week to as many as you wish
- Morning from 10am - 1pm, afternoon from 1pm - 4pm or all day
