Kiwi Harvest is a nationwide organisation that reduces the negative impacts of food waste on our environment by redistributing excess food; helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need. They work with a number of businesses and local organisations to "rescue" ,sort and stack food from their Donor's which is still fit for consumption, and redistribute to multiple recipients in Queenstown, Cromwell and Wanaka.
Their small staff team couldn’t possibly achieve what they do without the time, effort, enthusiasm, and ingenuity of their family of inspiring volunteers across the country. Volunteers help their team on the front line, collecting, sorting, and delivering food, as well as in a number of other roles behind the scenes.
The Queenstown branch are currently looking for volunteers to join them one morning every two weeks (Monday through Friday) to fulfil their mission. Volunteers will gain an insight into the food industry and knowledge that they are helping to reduce landfill and knowing they are nourishing the local community.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
