Hospice Southland’s Hospice Shop (based in Invercargill) is one of six shops across Southland and the Wakatipu region.
Hospice Shops are a treasure trove of donated goods, helping bring their motto of “Sustainable Shopping for Sustainable Care” to life while connecting our communities to the vital work of hospice.
Hospice Southland provides Specialist Palliative Care Services, affirming life and offering dignity, comfort, and hope to patients and their families. Funds generated through our Hospice Shops directly support our six-bed In-Patient Unit and community services, caring for around 120 patients and their whānau each year.
Palliative care focuses on quality of life by responding to each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, while also supporting families through one of life’s most challenging journeys. Their volunteers play a vital role in making this care possible and strengthening the connection between hospice and the community.
As part of the Hospice Shop volunteer team, you are not just supporting retail - you are helping lead community-powered care and bringing volunteering to the forefront of our organisation and communities.
