In-Home Help - GPS (Giving People Support)

Organisation:

Royal NZ Plunket Trust

Category:

Social Support

Hours:

Both/Flexible

Locations:

Oamaru

Become part of a family’s support network through Plunket’s GPS (Giving People Support) programme. Many families in our community need a little extra help—this might mean preparing meals, helping with routines, playing with children, attending appointments, or simply being a friendly, supportive presence. Every GPS family has at least one child under five. Some parents are recovering from birth (including caesareans), raising twins or triplets, parenting solo, or are new to the area without a support network.

Volunteers are carefully matched with families based on interests and availability. You’ll be fully supported by the GPS Coordinator through training and ongoing check-ins.

If you enjoy supporting others and want to make a real impact, this flexible, rewarding role could be for you.
