Special Olympics Otago Trust works to provide year round sports and training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. They offer basketball, football, golf, indoor bowls, ten pin bowling, powerlifting, and swimming.

They are currently looking for a skilled, friendly person to coach their amazing team of athletes. They train once a week at the Edgar Centre on Sunday from 12pm - 1pm.

If you are passionate about sports, enjoy helping people, and want to create impact on someone's life, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Have reasonable knowledge of basketball techniques and rules
  • You will be asked to register with Special Olympics New Zealand

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Sundays from 12pm - 1pm
Need to be available for events throughout the year
