Anglican Family Care has been delivering a range of social and therapeutic services across the Otago region since 1970 and they're looking for Caregivers to join their team in Dunedin. The role complements their commitment to providing tamariki with respite and short-term foster care, so that parents can focus on making changes to improve the lives of their children.
Caregivers are part of a team supporting whānau, if you’re open to learning and looking for an opportunity to share your home and provide a nurturing and caring relationship with tamariki of mostly pre-school and primary school age, then they want to hear from you!
You will receive training and ongoing support from their Home-based team, together with some basic resources, to help grow and support the child’s interests. Be a superhero and make a difference to a child’s life today.
From the comfort of your own home, you will be:
Flexible, patient, honest, accepting
You will also be asked to complete a background check from Oranga Tamariki and NZ Police
A Police background check is required for this role.
Weekend or Respite care for tamariki on a regular basis, may require one or two weekends per month for a period of time.
Short Term Care can range from one night to up to three months.

Volunteer South's office is closed from Friday 20th December until Monday January 6th. Many organisations listing roles online will also be taking a break.
